can a shoe service replace the sole of a shoe completely?

i own a kenneth cole with worn out heels ..thinking of replaceing the heels ...

I have had it done but it was costly, though if they are expensive shoes and your favourite than I suppose the cost does not matter

Most of the shoe repair services can replace the whole sole. I know the heels for sure can be replaced.
