I was just dumped. I need some inspirational music like "I will survive" by Gloria Gayner. Not love songs. They make it worse.

song: The Breakup Song
artist: Katrina Elam
here are the lyrics:

Years go by, the singers change
Same old story but the words get rearranged
Somebody loves someone, somebody left someone
Somebody swears it wasn't s'pouse to end this way

[Chorus]
People dance to summertime
Happy songs with happy rhymes
The melodies make you wanna drive and sing along
And singers talk about growing up
The first kiss and being in love
But nothing hits as close to home as the break up song

Violins and i love you
If the slightly miss their mark they ring untrue
But something 'bout goodbye making someone cry
Sounds to me more like what real people do

[Chorus]

We need to talk, this ain't working out
Can we still be friends, i found soumeone else
I need some space, this just feels wrong
Everybody's lived the breakup song

good luck with your breakup. i just got through mine too. it takes a while but you will get through it. ; )

Definitely stay away from Country. Oh, except there's this one song that's good, it says "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares." That might work for you.
You need something loud and rocking.
