After close examination of this dangerous cult, I have found that the explosive affects of their cult language, and their preying on the unsuspected "newcomer", is similar to the effects of a BIG BOMB! Good bye Brain! "It works if you work it---but it's Timed!

I cannot fathom the connection you are making here. Other than using the term "explosive" rather loosely, what is your point?

I don't think the AA mindset is like that of a suicide bomber.

A suicide bomber cares nothing for their life; their mission is to lose thier life in order to destroy others' lives. Sounds more like a drinking alcoholic to me.

An AA member seeks to save his/her own life by coming to AA for help, and then tries to pull others out of the same pit from which s/he just climbed.

I have been sober almost seven years. I disagree with a lot of what is palmed off in certain AA meetings as "AA" when all it really is is pop psychology and self-help fad of the moment. The REAL principles of AA can be found within the 12 suggested steps and the first 164 pages of the primer, "Alcoholics Anonymous'. Everything else you hear or see is in addition to (and sometimes even instead of!) AA.

The basics of AA as outlined by its founders are simple. Clean up your side of the street, trust a higher power of your own understanding to help you straighten out your life, and then help others who still suffer from alcoholism. In other words, don't drink and do help others.

Anything else is pretty much window dressing -- fun if you like it, annoying if you don't, and dangerous if you use it to replace the basic principles.

I can see why some people would get the idea it's a "cult". The way some AA meetings and members do things, you wonder if they ever actually read the book.

Try saying 'It works if you work it' repetitively to see how long it will take to either get sober or blow up

Why would you say something like that? AA has helped zillions of people. That isn't EVEN funny.
