Vietnam was more localized. Iraq is a piece of a much larger puzzle. It's not about Iraq its about Iran. They want to take over the world. kill all infidel. Come right out and tell people that is the plan. no if we leave it solved nothing except we won't have to go so far to fight.

What the heck dude? Please pick up a history book
over 1 million Vietnamese politically executed or sent to reeducation (slave labor) camps
Total destruction of the economy
Lead the the rise of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and the killing fields there ever seen the movie.
Lead to 2 further wars by Vietnam one with China and one with Cambodia
Lead to doubt about America's resolve to live up to it's promises which lead directly to Soviet aggression in Afghanistan in which the roots of Al Qaeda were born
Thats the short list I could go on. these may be nothing to you but personally I feell differently. You are entitled to think what you like I would appeal to you to be as informed as possible.

wow, Are you ever blind. Nothing happened? To whom? Nothing happened to your neighbor? Nothing bad happened to Jane Fonda? You are nuts. Millions were killed because we left. Others bareley escaped with their lives. Some are still in concentration camps. How can you be so heartless?
The other valid point that has already been made by others is,,,The people we are fighting have already brought the war to our own country, If we leave they will multiply that. The war will affect your neighbor, and maybe even Jane Fonda.

that's a good point some of my relatives had relatives that fought in that war and said, we were told the communists would divide up our land and kill us all if we let them win in Viet Nam.
When the Americans left it was an easy victory and the North took over and no one came here from Viet Nam except the ones the Americans brought over and gave wages to. Some were from the North that had been fighting us. But that was okay because now the war was over. Not to my mom who lost her little brother. But there is lots of Viet Nam people in the USA today. You leave Iraq and they will fight and appoint another Hussain and as dictator he can control the people.
That is why Sadam Hussan was so mean a dictator to keep all the muslims from killing each other. I say put him back and get out.

The problem is that we destroyed this country and started a bloody civil war. We didn't start the Vietnam war. All those innocent Iraqi's are depending on us to keep what little peace they have left. If we leave, they WILL battle it out to the death, and all that blood will be on our hands. It doesn't sound like you would care, though.

confident Iraq conflict is worse than Vietnam conflict in one experience the u . s . a . can no longer go away Iraq like it did in Vietnam. Iraq conflict is an Israeli lobby conflict and the subsequent conflict would be Iran conflict etc.

Yes they will keep on fighting in Iraq. This is much different than Vietnam. The enemies will follow us back to America. Much different.

It depends on what you call bad. You are correct to say nothing bad happened to Americans in general. However, the Vietnamese people suffered tremendously as a result of our withdrawal. People were purged, i.e. the Hmong.
