Because the "moral" people feel it is their job to inflict their beliefs (that they consider truths) on everyone since they cannot stand the thoughts of individuality and uniqueness. Although when you ask questions such as the one proposed you open yourself up to moral judgement...

That's a good Q right there... The one thing you didn't mention is the fact that you asked your Q on the web and anyone who is willing to answer you can.. Maybe the religion people aren't religion people at all, maybe the ones who answered you are just hardliners with high moral backgrounds and not God's children(the real ones that obey the ten commandments, love Jesus, do unto others, love thy neighbor, so on and so forth).. Please don't be judgmental to the whole when you don't know what portion you are dealing with.. Good luck in your situation...

There are no morals police on this site..
There are people who answer questions as posed by askers..
You don't have to ask the question..
You don't have to like the answer...
Perhaps if the answer causes you discomfort, it is because
you are doing something that you should not be doing..
Not many people are deliberately going to give people bad
advice or steer them the wrong direction...
I trust my answer will not offend you...

Well no one actually addresses questions to the "morals police" so they have to answer yours just to have something to do. They tend to see the world as clear cut black and white and like to point out the obvious from atop their high horses. Trying posing a question with a challenging moral dilemma and see how many respond then. Probably not many, those aren't as much fun to answer. Hopefully they feel good about themselves after pointing out the shortcomings of others. They're just insecure, ignore them.

the so-called "morals police" serve an important function. some control needs to be shown in order for this type of forum to continue to operate. you must be aware that there are very young children here and topics and language must be chosen carefully. most topics will fly by the censors if the language is halfway decent.

LOL Because members of society have a responsibility to deem lying, cheating, adulterers as lying cheating adulterers. If you don't want opinions, don't ask. If you want to cheat on your wife and do some other women when you "sneak out" of the house, don't expect praise or ideas on how to sneak out. If you post your problems on the internet (aka world wide web) don't expect people to "mind their own business" LOL

What you are really looking for is people to tell you that it is ok to cheat. I wonder all the time while on Answers why there are morons that ask stupid questions looking for resolution from whatever immoral act they are commiting, but look here you are asking anyway. Life sucks doesn't!

well.....because having an extramarital affair is not moral?? what do you expect everyone to say???!!! Congratulate you ??? You ask a question and everybody who wants to answer have the right to do it, otherwise don't post your question if you don't take criticism well.

By posting a question, you are asking for an opinion. Bottom line is if you don't like people responding with an opinion, don't ask a question.

I agree. You might IM or email those people who's answers you respect. That way you can have a private conversation without any interruptions.
