Actually, it's not a sentence, it's a fragment. If you dropped the word "so," it would be a complete sentence.
"I frequently went to bed hungry," is the correct sentence.
"So I frequently went to bed hungry," is an incorrect sentence because the word "so" makes it a clause instead of a sentence. Clauses are phrases that describe effects. if you did have your dinner ,and you were still hungry the sentence is correct,if only you have a weight problem.Eating before bed time makes us gain weight.If your being punish and you can't have dinner or anything to eat, is a wrong way to punish.We all need three meals a day...

No. You don't need the "so" unless you have something that goes before it. Such as:
We didn't have much money for food, so I frequently went to bed hungry.

How about - "I frequently go to bed hungry", or "I am frequently hungry when I go to bed."

I woud drop 'so', and shift the pronoun about.
"Frequently, I went to bed hungry"

no you can say ''i freguently go to bed hungry'' (Went is past tense. Frequently is an adverb of frequency, you have to say how many time s you went to bed hungry)
