Do you have to have a boomerang to cut that giant purple flower that is suspended with blueish purple vines/ropes and if so were do i get the boomerand

i haven't played it in a while, but i think you do yeah. i think the boomerang is in chest behind some vines in one of the first rooms of the dungeon after you fly over on the deku leaf. i think so anyway. hope this helps

yes. the boomerang is nessecary to cut the flower. you can get it by getting a small keyand using it on the door to the right of the room with the weird thorn things coming out or the ground(the one you got the small key from). in the room you used the small key on there will be a door, go through to find a morthula(one of those giant moth things except with wings :p). to beat it you have to hit it with your sword 4 times when it flies down to attack you. after you do that the chest with the boomerang appears.

to get the boomerang there is this guy in the mountains i think and you either have to pay for it or have something(like an agility trait).GL!
