Vince has a massive ego and it's always been about the money and not about the wrestlers.

Well its like this. Vince had a falling out with Owen's father Stu. Bret had it in his contract that as long as he was to hold the belt, he would never loose it on Canadian soil. Well we know what happened in Montreal. Bret being screwed. Vince was afraid that Bret would take his little belt to WcW with him. And when it came to Owen bring told to do what he had to do, well that is the business we are in. Either you do what the promoter wants or you don't get paid. Owen should have stuck to his gun and said No. But he was under contract with Vince and was told that if he did the show, Vince would release him from his contract. The problem wasn't with Vince using cheap equipment. It was the fact that he did not have a stunt coordinator on the set. It is a law that any stunt being performed you must have someone that is licenced to supervise the stunt. Vince did not have anyone. He had two guys up in the rafter's to strap Owen in. The one guy tapped on Owen's shoulder to say it was okay, as the other guy tapped on his other shoulder. The first guy didn't like the way it looked and undid the one strap. Owen not knowing this when he heard his entrance music he jumped.
One of the things all wrestlers are taught right before they get into the ring. If you feel uncomfortable about doing something don't do it. Oh yeah, he did it before many times as did Shawn, but if Owen had did what he was taught not to do, he may still be alive today. If you seen that Owen tried to get up after he hit his head on the top turn buckle. That is what caused him to do the fatal damage to his neck. If he had just layed there, the medic's would have came to the ring and and put a collar on Owen and placed him on a back board and rushed him to hospital. And then to surgery.
Unfortunatly, drugs is a big part of wrestling. Wrestlers get hurt so they turn to drugs to help take the edge off the pain. However some guys go way over board.

Wow,I didn't know that it happened like that. That is sad.

It is sad that Vince Mcmahon is using Eddie's death for profit.

I was too young to remember Owen Harts death.

I still miss Eddie Guerrero as a performer...

Ya the money should go to Eddies family.Well at least vince mcmahon, may be paying vickie to be Chavo's manager on smackdown.

First of all, I won't forget Eddie. He had a lot of demons he was living with and I can't condemn someone for having an addiction.

Now onto your question: I don't know how Vince can live with himself. He probably justifies it by thinking that it was a terrible accident.

If you knew anything you would know that the moneyfor Eddies merchindise does go to his widow, as for owen it was an accident, why should vince get the blame, accidents happen

Vince is a billionaire. He does not care about people. He cares about his money.

That's terrible. If what's being said about Vince is true, one day, "he'll reap what he sows".
