I live in a home and the man in the apartment complex across the street from me has a video camera pointed directly at the back of my home. It appears from the angle the camera is mounted on, he is shooting directly into my kitchen. I have had some issues with this man (I have NO clue who he is, the cops will not release his name to me) complaining about my dogs. However he has complained at times I was at work and the dogs were indoors. I have no clue what or why he is doing this. I do not know how long this has been going on, I heard about the camera but only had a visual confirm of it this morning. It gives me the creeps. What should I do????

I own this house, have for 14 years. The man with the camera is across the street in an apartment complex. He is the tenant peering in my window with a camera.

As far as my dogs go. ALL of my dogs are tilted obedience dogs, with advanced titles. Trained well beyond the normal pet dog. I have never had a complaint about my dogs before. I hope this clears up any questions about my dogs.

If he is unhappy about your dogs. Then that's where your problem is. Either you find a good home for the dogs or train your dogs or move out to a house to keep neighbourly peace. But its really up to you. Most likely he is gathering evidence that your dog is indeed behaving badly or out of control. If your dogs are really doing something that is damaging or noisey then it would be a good idea to train the dogs.

I've lived in an apartment and co-operation and sensitivity and tolerlance is sometimes not easy. But such is the life of living in a apartment. Two wrongs doesn't make a right. How many options do you have? You can't evict the guy. More complains to the authorities is not going to get you anywhere.

Put up a venetian blind in your window. And, or you could get a bunch of fake cameras and put them in YOUR window and point them at HIS camera. Sounds like a right to privacy issue, I'm surprised the cops can't arrest him for peeping. Actually I'm not surprised, since the cops don't want to do anything about real crime unless it's committed against rich people or banks.

You could also put up a sign in your window that says "YOU SUCK" so he can film THAT all day! LOL! Yeah, our neighbors are messed up too, I feel for you bud!

Well you could put a mirror at an angle in front of the camera lense therefor not looking at your house. You could shine a laser pointer at it to screw up what he is shooting, it will turn out all red.

I would do what they do in movies when the guy robs the bank he takes a pictutre of what the camera see's then tape's the picture to the front of the camera and if that doesn't work just be spiteful and get more dogs. ;)

Point a video camera at his house and record his every move also. Investigate if you have a case for harrassment by this guy. That's just creepy.

Get an attorney. Hopefully a letter from the attorney to this person will be all it takes.
