This is the real hippa law. Also contact your states health dept for thier laws. Each state goes by the federal and they can have thier own that can be tougher than the federal law.

It may depend on how your state sees massage therapist and how it licenses them. That can be found out by the state govt as well.

HIPPA effects all areas of health care. You are less likely to be called on the carpet as a massage therapist since there are less governing bodies. But you should have your HIPPA plan together in the case someone has a problem with you.

From what I understand in trying to find some answers myself about HIPPA, yes. But you can go to HHS.gov and find out all kinds of things or ask a question, but the question has to be general not specific. Good Luck
