Naw, a beachball is out, apologies for and to the one who mentioned that.
Also can't get him a Bible, I don't suppose, or the Anglican prayer book--too serious.
How about a rather inexpensive pen and pencil set, or something for his desk?
Light hearted is what makes it hard... really hard... Yes, some sort of something to go on a desk or to keep at home will have to be it.

if you don"t know him well get a card and put the £5 inside, maybe get him a present next year when you know him better.if that does"nt appeal to you get to know him,but if you"ve pulled his name out of the hat at work and you have to buy him a present then just buy him apotted plant ....or a mouse pad 4 his comp!!!good luck........
