Because they don`t know the Truth they waste precious time speculating about things they will never know by themselves, but those who know the Truth don`t waste their time but preach the Word which enlightens the blind.

I think what makes the philosopher great is that they recognize that they do not know the truth yet seek it. The so called knowers of truth who preach are 100% of the time wrong. Besides, speculating is doing.

You are darn right about those who knows the Truth and don't waste their time but preach the Word which enlightens the blind.
You sure know what you are saying.

baka preacher,
no one is listening to your capitalized bastardization.

You don't even know what the words you use mean.
A preacher is ignorant. He leads like followers blindly to that capitalized monstrosity, which you are all blind to apprehend, but believe that you believe, in self-delusion.

I pity you.

The great philosophers may not leave their oak desk much, but their expertise dominates the order and operations of the world. A preacher has nothing to say with any justification. A preacher walks the lemmings off the cliff. And we will build a city around your dusky bones.

Ashes to ashes
From nothing, nothing comes.

Thought is the potency of change. Reality lies in language. Philosophers move the world and allow it to change. Following a dead word is foollish and dangerous. Dead words are unchallenged words, like taking sacred texts literally. How could someone know truth if it lies behind words? Those who preach they know truth are certainly blind.

Doing can be surprisingly unproductive.

Speculating can be surprisingly illuminating.

I'm speculating that your assumptions are not very satisfying to you at this moment.

You might want to speculate on how you should change them, because doing something to force your assumptions to change will not be productive at all. You might even start to resent yourself, or doubt your assumptions, which will lead you nowhere.

I completely disown your question, due to your description descriping "the truth" as if no other ways of thought can be right.

I hope you are right and God makes you into the animal slaves you will become in the forthcoming "paradise"

The majority of people are too lazy to think for themselves; they need someone to do their thinking for them, hence, philosophers.

how can one choose a course of action if there are no ideas to inspire, challenge, or guide us?

furthermore, i don't accept that philosophers "do so little".
i see no evidence of that.
