Dennis explained it well. Just remember a few things. 1) Remember the server calls her score first. So if you are serving and lose the first point it is 0(love) 15. If you won the first point it is 15, love. at 30 all the score can also be considered deuce, because at 30-30 you or your opponent needs to consecutive points to win the game, just like you do at 40-40 ( also deuce). The score 15 can also be called 5 . It is slang for the score 15 , but is used fairly commonly in games. I do not have any idea where it started, but you are sure to run into it if you start playing a lot of games and may even use it yourself
As far as the games go, every odd number game you play you switch sides 1,3,5 etc. You do this so that each player plays an even amount on each side. It is so no one person has the advantage of sun or wind. You keep score 1,2,3,4,5,6 the same as you do in most sports. Again be careful to say the person who is serving , their score leads exp. you are serving and losing game to 4 , you say the score as 4-5. At 6all you play a tie breaker which is the first person to 7 points win by 2. The person who serves the first point in the tie-breaker is the person who received the last game of the set. That person serves one point and there after you or your opponent serves 2 points. You switch sides during a tie-breaker every 6 points or to say it differently a total of 6 points exp. 5-1 switch . 4-2. switch 3-3. switch. At 6 points all if this happens you switch sides and continue the tie breaker until one person wins two consecutive points. Using the same rotation of each player serving two.
The best advice I can give you is to call the score out loud before each player serves. When you are the server , tennis educate states that you should do so , bit if your friend or opponent does not do this , put your hand up( Which in tennis means "hold on I am not ready") and say the score yourself. Again the servers score gets said before the returner. If you call the score every time it will allow you to learn the score faster and also avoids a lot of potential arguments, trust me. to add on the answer above, when the score is 40-40, you call it "deuce" and if you win that point, it is called "add-in" but if they win it is "add-out" . you win the game wen you win the point on your add.

there are usually 6 games to a set and 3 or 5 sets to a match.
