It's difficult to imagine this happening, because I always thought that the gravitational pull of the Sun was connected to the Earth's orbit. But supposing the Earth did stop orbiting, but kept rotating, then it would probably stop tilting on its axix, so we would have no seasons. Which would disrupt everything. If it stopped tilting when the north pole was towards the Sun, then soon all the ice would melt and the water would boil. Life as we know it would be a thing of the past.

. it somewhat is often agreed interior the Western technological international that the Earth and each and all the planets revolve around the sunlight... I propose something has to revolve around something else, so what's incorrect with the Earth revolving around ther sunlight? it somewhat is the records that technological races have desperate with the aid of lots examine and diagnosis and mathematical manipulation, and it works nicely for area travelers. i think of we could continuously settle for that guy is to blame for his achievements yet this would not invalidate the life of God ! certainly many astronauts have been struck with the aid of the profound feeling that an invaluable religious presence is at artwork interior the cosmos.

1. the earth would be as large as the sun and the sun would be the size of earth, since that is almost impossible for the earth to pull the sun
2. keeping the sizes the same....We have a 6 month summer and a 6 month winter due to no sunlight and almost all sunlight
3. birds would fly west for the "winter"
If I think of more I will edit this and post it

It depends. If the laws of physics were suspended and it just came to a stop without everyone flying off from their inertia, for example, when you turned physics back on, earth would simply fall into the sun. It would take a few months.

The Earth would be a huge ice cube.

Keep in mind that every object in the Universe is affected by gravity whether the object is near or distant.

Think about what would happen if the Earth were out in the middle of space by itself, with no sunlight. What requires sunlight?
