Having never pickled a pigs head before I can only guess at this, but I'd say a large jar and some vinegar, it works for onions.

Would probably look nicest in a spherical glass jar which would complement the roundness of pig head. I think you can get them in garden centers. Also pickling vinegar, any supermarket at the mo as it's pickling time of year - sarsons is pretty good and some nice spices don't forget the apple and maybe put some sunglasses on him I saw that on a pigs hread hanging in an Italian food market and it was kind of bizarre but amusing oh yes you'll also need a butcher to separate pigs head from rest of pig body I hope you will have much success please send me a bacon butty.

Ingredients:-
1 Pigs Head.
approx 500 grams pickling spice
approx 30 litres of malt vinegar.
1 very large cauldron.

Method. Place all the ingredients in the cauldron. Add 2 kg. finely chopped onion if desired, and 250 to 500 g. salt and pepper to taste. Bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 3-4 days, stirring occasionally, and dancing round the cauldron, chanting "Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble" and other suitable quotes from the Scottish Play. Add liquid from time as necessary. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
