Hello,
YES! I've met a few americans I liked & respected. However I totally dislike instensely the sheer arrogance that comes across in many many americans towards the rest of the world.
**Why, does america feel the need to export its views, its culture, its music, its films, its politics, even its christian beliefs to the rest of the world. Why? do americans think they have such a great culture or country? Its boggles my mind frankly.
**Many people hate american forgien policy, many people hate President Bush for the way to has behaved and continues to behave. Why? many americans cannot see that Bush is a joke as a leader and is seen as a joke around the world also boggles my mind too frankly? (probably because they voted for him?).
**Why many people outside of the USA dont like americans is because of the appauling track record of being trigger happy i.e shoot first and ask questions later, I mean really what kind of way is that to behave towards anyone.
Frankly, I could go on and on, the list is a very very long one. Enough said I think!! But I dont hate individual americans, I dont blame individuals its the overall culture that makes me bork!!

I don't dislike Americans. and i have had some very rude replies off quite a few.Its the difference in our societies i think. Whats OK here in GB is not necessarily acceptable in the US. And vice versa. Peoples minds are just not open enough to accept other peoples points of views. And thats on both sides of the pond un-fortunately. x

See how everyone's getting very defensive all of a sudden? For the record, the American people I've ever met have been extremely friendly and helpful, full of fun and a pleasure to be with! I suppose everywhere you get good and bad, charming and just plain obnoxious! And I love the American accents, and The Simpsons. Oh, and all the teen movies!!!!

First off where are you ? Second I don;t dislike Americans whether they are Canadians or Mexicans or Brazilians or from the United States. I think that people who hate "Americans" are living in countries where their government is repressing it's citizens and don"t want their citizens to have the"Freedoms" that the United States citizens enjoy!

I don't - there are about 300 million Americans...I have come into contact with very few in 'real' life.
I hate Bush for taking us into an unnecessary war.
The Americans that I get annoyed by are the idiots on here who constantly tell us how they saved us in two world wars… or the boring bigoted ones who constantly stereotype us by going on about our bad teeth...

I've not got a problem with Americans... Even Bush!
Lets face it, when your running a country, your never going to be popular because of the decisions you have to make.
But besides that, Americans are normally pleasant (the ones i've met). We are all different..

Some people, even in the UK, are just stupid. They feel inferior, I suppose. I know only a few Americans and they are fine people. Mind you, there are some Americans answering questions here that tend to feed the prejudice.
