my brother is studying a law case at the moment where a woman claims she was under the age of consent for her partaking in lesbian sex, the woman she is accusing is the same age however. male gays have to be 18 for consenting gay sex i believe (or 16 not sure) yet there seems to be no law stating the age for legal lesbian sex. is this true?

I heard that Queen Victoria never made lesbianism illegal because she refused to believe it happened. Not sure if that is true but it sounds good.

Its 18 in the UK for homosexuals but never heard of the same for lesbians maybe you should right to your M.P this issue was debated a while ago and consideration was given to lowering the age of consent to that of heterosexuals which is 16 but the gov decided it was a bad idea and really I don't understand why.If it was an issue regarding abuse of the law generally abusers don't give a monkeys anyway so why criminalise sex if your gay.

Am not 100% on this but believe the age of consent for all sex, straight, gay, lesbian, is now 16 (sixteen).

I'm pretty sure I remember my English teacher telling the class that there was no age restrictions for lesbian sex, because physically it's not dangerous. I would think 16 would be the correct age though.

Lesbian sex is not covered under the normal gay rules as lesbianism was never illegal in the UK. therefore the age of consent is 16.

The law for sex legally no matter whether you are gay or straight is 16 you have to be over 16 any younger than that and it is illegal. I think personally the law is stupid the age of consent for any form of sexual activity should be 21 or over. There should be a change in the law make it 21 and not 16

there is no law, think about it logically, there is no law for age of consent in regard to a guy giving a girl oral sex. Of course it may be regarded as sexual assault if one party is no consenting or sexual abuse if one party is significantly more immature (not just in age but also possibly mentally)
