The reason NBA players don't play international is because they don't get enough rest within the NBA season. How many other leagues in the world play 82 regular season games and go one 10 day road trips to the other side of the country? None. Don't forget, some of these guys, no, MOST of these guys are grown men with families that they don't really spend quality time with over the season and they want to be daddys and husband for a few months before basketball resumes in September. Also there is the "heal time factor". Some of them go through the entire season with little nagging injuries and they just need time to heal, like Chauncy Billips, or maybe even off season surgery like Kobe and Stoudamire.

For what? You don't make $.
Look what Pau Gasol did to himself. Grizzles are done for the season? Blame who? Pau Gasol's broken foot. His NBA value is going down.
