Is it the heater not working or just cold, if just cold is the control on the engine seized up it happens,it should be on top of the head probably at the back, first look at that get someone to play with the controls of the heater on hot and cold to see if its moving. The next one is the thermostat stuck open this will make the engine stay cold for much longer,as the thermostat closes the water system until the engine is warm thus running without the chock faster. You should also check if your heater has an air lock this will also make it blow cold with no water flowing through the heater core.I hope you have checked the heater fuse as well that might of blown, last but not least have you checked the motor with a multimeter to see if the motors ok.

Go to your local `scrap-yard they will have loads of cars there, they take out or off any part that works and scrap what is rubbished. If you can fit it then that's the place to get a heater. I`d `phone them first , as they are often out of town and it may save a wasted journey. For sure you will be able to get one for a fraction of the new price.
