I am looking to use a microwave in my truck for the winter as well as recharging my Mac powerbook, DVD player and maybe a kettle, not all at the same time however.
I feel the best way to do this is with a power inverter but bearing in mind that a decent micowave would be 800 watts and would need to run for anything from 2-15 minutes would this mean I would have to keep the engine running.
Basically what I need to know is what should I bear in mind when choosing an inverter and what are my options as far as a microwave is concerned? Any other relevant information would be much appreciated.
