John Bonham from led Zepplin owned both of them.

Grohls drumming on nevermind made the album and jordison is just fast with nothing special about him

others worthy of note:

Lars Ulrich
Cozy Powell
Keith Moon
Sean Moore

Joey is the better of those two. His double base is wicked pants.

Anyway Dave Grohl does not play drums in the Foofighters.

Dave Grohl is the most powerfull drummer in rock listen to in utero if you dont' believe me, slipknot metal drumming heavy but bland

the best other drummers are
Brett Reed Rancid
Dave Lovering The Pixies
John Lee Feeder

Grohl was one of the 5 best drummers I have ever heard. I am blown away that he is so talented that he has been famous, for the last 14 years, for his singing and guitar playing (and songwriting). Truly a talented musician! That said, Im not as big a fan of the Foo Fighters as I was of him when he was a drummer. Drummer all the way.

Keith Moon (late of the Who) You did realy have to see him (and hear him) to appreciate how brilliant he was. But like all geniuses he left the stage and the world wanting more. By the way when John Lennon was asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world he replied "He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles"

Dude...Grohl and Jordison aren't good, they're just famous, but not precisely for their skills. Rather check out Thomas Lang, Buddy Rich, Flo Mounier, Hannes Grossmann, Mike Mangini, Mike Portnoy, Marco Minnemann, Johnny Rabb, Virgil Donati, Vinnie Colaiuta, JoJo Mayer and especially Tony Royster Jr. ; check this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4SnRtJri8c ) out, he was ripping **** up at 12 years of age!

out of those 2 dave grohl by far....um but I'd have to agree with Keith moon or even Roger Taylor of Queen. Modern day drummer wise I'd have to say Dominic Howard of Muse is pretty amazing

Of the 2, Dave Grohl is the better of the 2. BUT, there are MANY drummers MUCH MUCH better... Dave Lombardo of Slayer is my fav.

Come now! Have you not heard of the great Buddy Rich - jazz drummer supremo. According to the jazz legend Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich was "the greatest drummer ever to have drawn breath." Check him out!
