Forbidden Planet, Lost In Space, Sleeper, Millenium Man (I think that was it, starred Robin Williams as a robot.) 2001 - A space Odyssey. Okay so HAL was a computer, not a robot. But he did play a major role. Also there was the one with Hayley Joel Osment, it was kind of a take on Pinnochio.
