It usually catches me off gurad at first, then (depending on the person and the flattering comment) either moves me to the core or -more rarely- creeps me out.

Flattered. And sometimes suspicious and uncomfortable. What does "move you to the core" mean?

Sometimes, I guess for me it depends on the person doing the flattering and what their intentions are. If they're trying to get one over on me, then it doesn't do anything but make me suspicious. If someone is truly trying to complement me, then yes it does move me to the core.

Flattery will only get you so far. Sooner or later the talking has to end and the intimacy will have to begin. Plus you have actually feel flattered to enjoy flattery.

it really has to do with who flatters me. if it's my best guy friend, then i feel like the best girl in the world. if it's somebody i don't know, i feel awkward. if it's somebody i know, probably just shocked. all would probably make me blush but i always prefer getting even the slihtest compliment from my best guy friend. ♥

First off, it makes me question their motives for doing so..
if they are genuine, then I am truly flattered

I'm not comfortable with flattery. But, it does move me to the core, on the inside.

I've never been flattered. What's it like?

As much as I appreciate the gesture, I end up feeling embarrassed. I need to work on that, because I tend to freeze up.
