If so, how did you do it? Did you study yourself? Use a program? If it just came naturally, are you an avid reader?

FYI, the new SAT does in fact have a total of 2400. So in case you want to tell a bad joke, remember that so you won't look completely retarded.

Yes, I scored a 2270. On my first practice test, I scored a 2030, but was able to raise my score after taking a Princeton Review test prep course. It was really helpful. Also recommended would be reading the newspaper or newsmagazines, as the vocab used in these publications often appears on the SAT.

the old SAT is based on 1600, i got to take that and did pretty well. I had to help out my younger siblings studying for the new SAT, honestly, I think it's gotten a lot easier, or more reasonable. I really don't recommend going to a program, because the instructor don't go in your pace, and you are in a class of like 15, sometimes 10, it's not helpful at all. I would really recommend studying by yourself, it's better if you have an older sibling who can help you a little, if she/he has lots and lots of time like I do. I can tell you that it definitely doesn't come naturally, SAT is absurd. Sometimes you do a lot better because you read a lot more and have a good basic skill in comprehension and know your grammar, and when it comes to the math section it's up to whether you had just built a good basic in middle school . SAT tests you on how you understand the "SAT" questions and how well you handle "SAT" reading materials, it's not about how well you can do math and how well you can read. The writing section is pretty straight forward, so just pay attention when you are writing, speaking, and reading. (Pick your friends' grammar problems in your head). Just do a lot of practice questions, buy the old 10 Real SAT book, and the new 12 New SAT from Princeton Review. After you do certain questions wrong, make sure you look at what is right, and more importantly, WHY it is right, and how to do it right the SAT way. Good Luck!!

that's plausible. Getting above a 2000 will be confusing. speaking from experience, i comprehend those who went up seriously from their PSATs. I scored over 2 hundred factors more advantageous on my SATs from what I scored on my PSATS. you ought to not wager on math, it rather is my suggestion to you. My math ratings on the SAt more advantageous seriously once i keen to pass the questions i did not comprehend. Take the SATs for real after taking a prep-route both on line or in individual. stay calm at the same time as taking the attempt. in case you at the instantaneous are not getting above a 2000, you may continually take the ACTs. In my own opinion, they seem a lot extra reachable than the SATs and my ACT conversion became more advantageous than my easily SAT score.

Yes. 1/2 naturally plus I read a bit. 1/2 used Collegeboard's Blue Book. Practice is part of getting a better score. Get really familiar with the type of questions the SAT asks.

I believe the maxium score for the SAT is 1600. I know it was about 10 years ago. I did fairly well on the exam. I recommend buying a study guide at your local book store and dedicating some time each day. The math section was not too difficult. Read a lot of classical novels..it will help your other score.
