You are supposed to drink approximately 2liters or about 8 glasses of water per day. This can include all beverages that you intake as they all contain water, but as far as sodas are concerned, they can have a negative effect so I wouldn't count them and for every tea or coffee you drink, only include it as about 1/2 a glass because of the caffeine contents.

I heard from a personal trainer that you take your weight and divide in half. 120 lbs/2=60 lbs. 60 lbs=60 oz. Then add 8 ounces for every exercise. FYI- activities are not exercise- your heart rate has to be at it's peak for at least 10-20 minutes. Peak heart rate? subtract your age from 220= PHR.

Usually 8-10 glasses a day anything over that is excessive and you can make yourself ill because you can overhydrate and cells in your body can die from being overhydrated.
