My first name is very unusual, I have only known maybe 3 other women with my name, but no one spells it the same. And hardly anyone pronounces it correctly. Both my sisters and my brother also got unusual names. We all feel burdened and different because of it and hate our names.. Mom was trying to be unique.
If I could have chosen, I might have chosen LeiLani because I like the way it sounds. Or Cheyenne.

I love the name Maria because it means Mary in spanish (I've alway loved spanish) and my best friend is Rachel and her name means little lamb, so we're like a perfect pair for friends. You know Mary had a little lamb! Yeah that's what I like about my name.

I'm glad someone else chose my first name for me, it's Sally and I did choose my middle name when I was 35 years old since my parents did not give me one and I always wanted one. I chose Anne (after my grandmother) and I use it now.
