At the age of one year they are called yearlings instead of kids, at 2 years they are adults.

Goats can be bred at around 5 months, but most goat farmers try to breed them around 7 months so they kid around their first birthday ("Kid" is a verb here... it means to deliver their babies). When goats are a year old they are called yearlings, but they still aren't full size and won't get there until they are 3-4 years old. They might be full height at 2, but they will fill out some, getting deeper chested and wider. Depending on the animal and it's environment, most goats will produce the most milk at around 4. So it depends on what you consider an "adult".
