No.
If you were supposed to like a team based solely on your religious beliefs, then yes, it is wrong.
I think liking one team over another based on location, religion, or peer pressure is ridiculous.
You are a USC fan, don't apologize, stand up and cheer for your team!
Unless you are a 'fair-weather fan'....someone who roots for a team just because they are winning now, then you don't hear a word from them when they are losing. (were you a USC fan a few years ago when they lost a lot?)

And it is spelled N O T R E . D A M E .

No, there's nothing wrong with it, you just like USC. Just because Notre Dame is a Catholic school, big deal. Your a fan and you root for what team you want.

Yes, it's wrong to root for a secular school that is playing Nortre Dame. I believe it's a minor sin. Now, if Nortre Dame is playing a Protestant school, such Southern Methodist University, it would be a cardinal sin to root against ND.

No theres nothing wrong with that. It doesnt matter about what team you like and who they are playing. You cant mix religion and football. A similar sitituation is happening with me but not with religion. Since WV lost they cant win their confrence unless they beat Rutgers next week and Louisville loses. I want Pitt. to beat Louisville but Pitt. is WVs rival. I hate Pitt but this week GO PITT.

When it comes to sports, all God cares about is that the game is played by the rules; no cheating. As for who to cheer for, God will not hold it against you if you cheer for your school when their opponent is a Catholic school.

No it isn't bad. You aren't doing anything against the catholic religion.
