You don't have too! Nobody says you do but it is a good idea because usually materials contain inks and those inks are not good if constantly rubbing with your crotch at least not good for girls that's why usually girls underwear even if they are made of color the crotch part is white. Those inks are not hygenic

We don't have to wear underwear. I don't. I hate it.
Although there are some popular skirts out there right now that should come with underwear built in otherwise you are showing your uhyhaa without trying............

we dont have to some people jsut prefer to for the same reason as socks they provide a smoother touch for your skin. thusly things like thongs are utterly pointless as they do nothing. however boxers for example stop painful rubbing between your skin and rough jean material and the like
