I am a week overdue of deliverying my baby. I have been to the hospital a couple of times for pain. The last time was Thanksgiving. They said my contractions were 3-6 minutes apart but i wasn't dialating in the hour they had me there, so they sent me home, they said they weren't strong enough. Is there something that they could have done to help me get dialated?

They could have broken your water, but unless you are seriously overdue, this is not likely to happen. It sounds like you were having braxton-hicks contractions. If you start hurting again.. Take a nice long walk, this is one way that will help the baby really get ready to decend the birth canal. By being seriously over due I am meaning like 2-3 weeks overdue.

They could have induced you to make you go ahead with labor and dialating, but usually they can wait up till two weeks after the due date to do that. As long as they were sure that you and your baby were fine then your fine. If they were worried about you they would have definitely induced though.... gl

I'm a guy so I don't know to much about having babyies.hahaha.
But I do know having a baby is the most memable moment for a mother so I wish you the best.

Yes they could have help you dilating its called "Cervical Ripening". Obviously everything is ok otherwise I'm sure they would not have sent you home.

They induced my contractons - but that is because I had high blood pressure- they only let me go 1 week overdo!! GOOD LUCK
