It first was n*****, which was a bad one, then it went to
"colored" still bad, then "*****" (no problem with that one), then "afro" (why a new one?) and now "African American" (WTF??? what if they are british?...African british or Afribrits)
What is wrong with calling white people, white, black people black, latino people, latino?
Why don't we just call everyone humans?

Well because the PC freaks will get all over you if you dont use the proper words. I for one am sick of african american or italian american or irish american.
Were you born in the US? yah ok you are an american. We are the only country in the world where people identify themselves this way. Whats wrong being just an american? Hmm?
C'mon say it...American, thats all thats great.
The color of someones skin should not matter at all but yah white black latino all work just fine when absolutely necesarry otherwise dont even mention it cause it does not matter.

African American should not be used. If they are American, then they are American. No one calls white people Euro American. And no one should differentiate black people from the rest of Americans. If anyone is an American, then they are simply an American. Losing the labels would help mend the racial rifts that still exist in America, and could hopefully help destroy the racist institution of Affirmitive Action

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all. This is just as true of the man who puts "native" before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen. Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance. But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as any one else.

Unless you are trying to describe someone for a police officier.
We are just people, never understood why skin color seemed so important. Why don't they say I don't like those people they all have black hair. Or another one. Don't have anything to do with people with blue eyes. Blue eyes look creapy.

You just said it...I am sure that the bigot's will come up with something that will be derogatory..The jerks will always be among us...
We'll probably stay with the colour scenario though...White, black red, yellow etc....Nothing wrong with referring to the different races by colour...How else could we???...tc...Yuke

How about "equal", which is what everyone deserved to be called regardless of color, creed or political beliefs.

Actually, it has pretty much come full circle, with "people of color."
We should see the ridiculousness of labeling people by now.
