Very often there are two gooves in the road surface where the heavy vehicles run. You could have 'fallen into the groove'.
Try driving on a straight line, and take your hands off the steering wheel briefly to see if the car maintains a straight line. If it pulls left consistently, then you have a tyre or steering problem.

Just tell them exactly what happened.

They will have come across 'phantom' faults before, as well as stories about mechanics in a hurry who have missed a problem.

A good mechanic will take your report seriously, inspect the car, and tell you whether or not they can find anything wrong. They might also let you have a look at the steering components while the car is on the lift, and explain what signs would identify a problem. If they find nothing, but you are dissatisfied with the explanation, get a second opinion.

Please don't lose any sleep over it. The guesses that I or anybody else can offer you in cyberspace have even less chance of being right than the roadside mechanic. A thorough inspection on the garage ramp is likely to show up the cause of the problem, in a way that driving the car up and down would not.

Quite often this is the blast from trucks even coming in the opposite direction let alone alongside. Not only that they make grooves in the road the width of THEIR wheels apart and a car tends to roll across the hump which drags the steering. Also they drop loads of oil so your tyres do not grip well when you get on the oily patch.

If your vehicle appears in order, then swap the 2 front tyres.
then drive along the same stretch of raod if possible .
If there is still a problem then the wheels and tyres will be eliminated from the equation and it is time to start looking at the vehicle suspension.

Suspension - wear in suspension arm bushes - possible. Also steering geometry. I know everyone says mixing brands of tyres is OK - especially if they're selling you the tyre - but I always like to keep to the manufacturer's original equipment all round.

well if we are going to be positive then we could say it was just a camber in the road

however this is unlikely, and there is probably something wrong with the tyre, ask a mechanic to make sure it has been calibrated properly, or whatever that little metal thing does that keeps it level

Check your tyre preassure's and try driving on the exact same stretch of road again as it could be a fault in the road surface and not your car

There are particularly 2 separate themes here. (a million) The officer's habit and (2) Your alleged violations. As for the officer's habit, i'm unlikely to condone what they did. you're able to have suggested it with the job/table Sargeant, which you probably did. regrettably for you, it particularly is their rely from that element forward. All you are able to desire for is that the brass tells this guy to place off you and if he does get in worry, it particularly is going to likely be an inner rely which you will in no way hear approximately. As on your violations, they seem to be a sworn officer and would testify on the state's behalf. And regrettably for you, their testimony includes a large variety of weight. additionally regrettably for you, if the officer is prepared to perjure himself and say that the violations got here approximately on 6/a million, you are going to have an quite complicated time refuting that. you are able to say which you had a controversy with them on 5/31, yet there is not any evidence of that. (You did no longer document any of this until eventually 6/a million... after the citations.) I even have been in the region the place a motorist made up all varieties of issues approximately what I suggested and did as a fashion to get out of a handicapped parking violation. i'm no longer asserting which you lied, merely that a large variety of folk do and it creates a "crying wolf" subject whilst it particularly is all lumped jointly. you're in all hazard going to be caught with extra than a number of of those tickets. you are able to try conversing to the ADA to work out in the event that they're going to decrease you a deal however. consistent with hazard you are able to plead to between the tickets and get the others brushed off. Who is accustomed to, consistent with hazard they're going to decrease you a candy deal in the event that they suspect your area of the story.
