My favorite movie is probably The Outsiders. It's almost exactly like the book. All the characters look just how I thought they would while I was reading the book. The people in the movie were great actors. It so sad but I really like it. Even if it is an old movie.

My 3 favourite are-
E.T. The Extra Terresterial
Steven Spielberg's greatest achievement still brings tears to my eyes upon 18th viewing. The flying bike scenes have to be the most euphoric moment in film.
Forrest Gump
Tom Hanks paints a beautiful portrait of a Southern simpleton. But almost stealing the show is Robin Wright's tragic heroine Jenny who keeps the movie grounded in reality to a certain extend. The songs help gives the moments a timeframe and for the first time, visual effects were used to enhance realism and not call attention to themselves.
Good Will Hunting
Proof that a movie does not need a big budget to succeed. Just a good story will do. Good Will Hunting boast some of the most intelligent lines to the point of glib. Just check out the conversation between Robin Williams and Matt Damon on the bench by the lake, or Matt's monologue on why he turned down a job offer from NSA. This is the reason nobody sniggers after saying the words "oscar winner Ben Affleck".

I cannot honestly say a have A favorite movie, but here is one that will always be with me.
Animal House
I started college in the fall of 1978. There was no room at any dorms (I applied too late), so I moved in to a fraternity. There were more motorcycles in the parking lot than cars.
The first weekend, we all piled into the back of Jeff Blevins's pickup truck, and drove across the Wabash River to Lafayette. We sat in the first row of the balcony and watched Animal House. It set the pace for my five years of college - bet you thought I'd say seven?
My fraternity was actually very much like John Belushi's in the movie. People who met me through classroom stuff could not believe I was in a fraternity, because of how my friend's and I were. This was at the start of the era of "preppy" defining the fraternity crowd.

I can't choose an absolute favorite but I can't get enough of 'A Few Good Men' with Tom Cruise, 'The Emporer's New Groove' which is a Disney animated film. David Spade and John Goodman are the main voices. I can watch any of the Harry Potter movies at any time. And of course 'What About Bob?'. I like the intensity, the storylines, and the comedy. I am all about Laughing!! Especially outloud.

I have so many favoritie movies, so I'll pick one that has sentimental value: "Broadway Danny Rose". Written, directed by, and starring Woody Allen. The film is a lesser known Woody Allen classic from the 80's, filmed in B&W. It is about a manager for talent acts that are borderline entertaining (jugglers, balloon folders, lounge singers, ect). It is very funny and sad how he will go out of his way for his people, even to the point of getting himself in trouble with the mob. Mia Farrow co-stars and she plays the brassy broad girlfriend wonderfully. There are so many hysterical moments in this film, and there is a really touching scene toward the end with Danny hosting Thanksgiving for his acts and he can only afford to serve them tv dinners. A really, really good movie.

The Shawshank Redemption, 1994, Starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. I LOVE that movie. It's so wonderful.
The part that explains how Andy escaped, and shows him coming out of the drain and putting his arms up to embrace his freedom, ahhhh, it always moves me. It's such a good movie.

Fun with Dick and Jane. Why? Because, even at my worst- I have never been THAT down and out... yet, they always found a way (even if it wasn't legal or moral) to make it through the day. In the end, they came out on top.
It makes me wonder what I would do, what lengths I would go to keep food on the table, to swallow my pride. AND... the movie is so darn funny too!!!

Goodfellas is my favorite movie. I like the movie because of the great directing and acting. Scorcese,De Niro, Pesci, Liotta and Bracco are awesome. It is one of those movies that no matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old.

Donnie Darko. I've never seen another movie like it. It's a perfect blend of horror and comedy and science fiction. So many other movies have tried to achieve what Donnie Darko succeeded in doing.
