my friend who is a girl doesnt like her pictures being taken, i have seen her pictures, they come out awful! she looks quite good in real life though (well of course she has her bad days, and apparently quite a few, but generally speaking she is very cute, and i think she knows that!) now if she doesnt want her pictures to be taken, then why do people force her to? like they literally use their physical power to drag her into the picture. fine, they like to have their friend/family member in the picture, but isnt it a kinda selfish reason? i have seen her cry when she sees her "ugly" pictures, is it really worth it? those people need to give her a break. friendship/family love is not all about taking pictures, is it?

well alda, i asked this q again, because i got only one reply last time! and it was you telling me to tell her to say "no" firmly, you think she hasnt been doing that?? people use physical force against her! it's a torture for her

and my reply to the second post: what right do they have to force somebody into the picture? and is family/friendship love all about taking pictures? even if it is, shouldnt it be her call to decide whether to be in the pic or not?

I answered this before and was the only answer. My question back to you is why do you post questions you do not keep track of and then post another question wanting to know how to get your questions answered? And now post the same question you never got back to....? Saw your other question about being addicted to the internet...just a question, but do you have a problem with "follow through." In that I mean that you are jumping all over Yahoo Answers and the internet in general that you do not get back with your answerers? Just wondering about why someone would waste 5 points and not retrieve 3 of them by choosing best answer....I am a little addicted also but I do make sure I come back and finish a question that I have asked. READ YOUR DARN ANSWERS. Thanks for letting me vent.

She only looks bad in pics because her picture anxiety shows. She is more concerned with her negative self-image than cooperating with people who only want to preserve the moments.

The best way to deal with this is for you or her to buy a digital camera (or borrow one) and practice taking her picture. She can delete all the ones she is not happy with, and she can see an instant result. That way, she will be able to learn how she looks best (How to stand, how to turn her head, smile, how far away from the camera, etc). You may have to take 1000+ shots before she finds one she likes, but that's the beauty of digital photography. You can shoot repeatedly and only have to keep what's good.

She is the selfish one. Family photos is not a beauty contest.
Friendship/family/love is all about cooperation, compromise and negotiation. She is adamently opposed to all of this. All people want is to preserve moments in time with pictures. If she could get over her need to make it all about herself, she might be better off.

PS-don't listen to Alda. It's a good thing she's not to critical or anything. Your question is a valid one, and worth insight from others.
