We are 18 and 29. We live in Las Vegas. We want something that will be unique to our relationship, but we're having a hard time. Any ideas would be great!

Something that we could make friends while doing it would be great too!

Geocaching! All around you, people have hidden stuff for you to find. Some of them are big Tupperware containers full of trade items. Others are tiny little film canisters with only enough room for a slip of paper to sign your name. You do need a handheld GPS unit to find them, they run anywhere from $80.00 on up. Geocaches can be in the woods where you have to hike, or right downtown. You'll meet lots of other couples.

PS - you could also do letterboxing, which is the same thing except you don't need GPS. You just rely on hints. Instead of trade items, you carry a rubber stamp to mark the logbook.

We live in Las Vegas too. We are quite a bit older than you are, but my husband and I enjoy hiking the trails at Red Rock and going out to Valley of Fire. Of course these activities have to be weather permitting. We have been toying with the idea of taking a scuba diving class at a place off Rancho. Currently we are involved in seeking donations for the homeless. We are looking for blankets, coats, scarves, gloves etc. This activity has brought us together as a couple because we are uniting our efforts to do a good deed. We also make meals and bring them to Ronald McDonald House. Through our efforts we have met other couples with like minds and we socialize with them by going out to eat. Sometimes we go to the drive in to see a movie. We bring a picnic dinner, put out a blanket and lean on some pillows under the stars. The whole experience is differrent than renting a movie or seeing it in the theaters. We also go to play BINGO once every great while cuz my husband HATES it anmd I can't ask him to go very often. The are a few ametuer productinons done here at the Whipple Center off McLeod. Also try the Rainbow Company...they put on a few good things.

Mostly we try whatever looks different. If we have a bd time we just tell each other OH WELL..... and try something else the following month. We do somnething every month and take turns planning it so it does not interfere with our real lives.

There are a million things to do in Las Vegas - come on, but it is hard to be creative. If you want to get out of town, try Laughlin in the early summer. One can rent jet skis and it is a great time. Try going to see some shows. Pick up a "What's On" magazine like a tourist and see what's happening and go try some stuff.

Do you guys have any hobbies you share? Even if you go out & do something you've never done before it will be a new experience you both can share together. Comedy clubs are really fun to go to, or take a tour of an historic place. If you like horses there is also horseback riding. Go to a museum, see a show somewhere - there are tons of things where you guys live.
