That is a good point. When many people ask for advice they are not really asking for advice, they just want you to say something that will reinforce what they are already thinking.

Ha ha! Good point. I think sometimes asking advice is simply a way of getting clarity about what you should do. Most of the time however, I think people just want reinforcement for what they all ready believe.

sometimes good advice can contain different approaches to your problem or question,, and the same for bad advice, so since many situations have several equally good steps to arrive at the final solution or solve the problem, its sometimes good to get many opinions
