My husband and I had unprotected sex the night before I started my period. Should I inquire more about taking the pill if i am on my period?

No. Plan B is not an antifertlization, it is an abortifcant, it does not prevent fertilization of the egg it prevents implantation. IF you are lucky having your period took care of the "problem" however by now it is too late for Plan B anyway. In order for plan b to be effective it has to be started within 24 hours of the sex act, and at best is itself only 85% effective at doing the job it was designed to do.
