You'll be able to answer your own question if you take a minute and put your feet in your best friend's shoes.....would you like her going out with a guy you just broke up with? If you wouldn't care if she did that to you, then go for it! If you would get mad if she did that to you, then stay away from him!

Dude, that's wrong. girl-hopping, so to speak, is a poor way to estbablish good relationships with your friend. If she doesn't say anything, that's a different story. Then you can have fun. But... Don't have sex until 4 years from how. That will prove your loyalty to him, and his to you.

You need to ask your friend if it's okay. If she says 'no' then give it a few weeks or months until she gets over him. Then let her know that you are going to ask him out.
