I am married and I love my husband. I am not very satisfied with my job prospects, because I am an academic but it is very unlikely that I will have a teaching place in university in my country at my field. I was offered a teaching job in a university in another country, but my husband does not want to leave his job and follow me. What do you think I should do?

My husband is extremely important to me, but won't I always blame myself and him if I throw this chance away without even trying it?

That is a hard one... you and your husband need to talk about what is best for BOTH of you. Then, in the end, you really need to follow your heart. i truly wish you the best of luck. just do whatever makes YOU happy.

It should not be a matter of you OR him. You are asking dead end question that have a possible mutual exclusive out come. stay OR go, leave his job and follow, OR stay, him OR her.
You guys need to act as a team and do what is best for the team. It sould not be one have it there way the other just hang in there at a crap job. may be you tow should look for where you bouth can have pretty good jobs and from there you can make it grow.

it depends on if you want a successful marriage or work life it comes down to which is more important and if your husband is not willing to leave to follow you. maybe he's not the guy for you. Best of luck to you! GO with what your heart tells you and what makes you both happy..
