Google the town they live in along with the word "newspaper". Maybe you'll find an online obituary.

Go to google and type in free bmd, you may find an entry there but you will need to pay to give you the actual date. From the free viewing you can find the quarter they were registerd in and the volume and entry number (and the name obviously). You would need to pay then to narrow that all the way down.
