For both, would it be better if the stuff was cooked?

Dogs can eat turkey.

Pigeons can't eat rice as when it gets wet it expands and if they have had too much their stomachs will explode

Dogs are Carnivores people!! if your dog gets loose and had to live on its own in the wild, do you think that someone is going to follow him around with a bag of dry dog food or a pot to cook his dinner in? Now turkey may have something in it that isn't healthy for a dog, so I would reccommend asking a vet or two, but even they have differing opinnions. I do know that feeding a dog COOKED chicken or turkey bones is dangerous because it drys out the bones and makes them splinter and break apart which can cause fatal choking or intestinal injury.. raw bones are much safer, but even then they can cause a hazard for a dog who is an over zealous eater. Best to stick with the larger beef bones if you feel like giving them a treat. just be sure to keep your dog well wormed if you feed raw meat. As for the rice thing, rice swells when wet and if you've ever seen a birds stomach, it's pretty small, and contrary to the expression "eats like a bird" they actually eat A LOT for their size, and frequently as well. So NO dry rice for birds!

Turkey has a compound in it that isn't good for dogs, cooked or uncooked. Especially dark meat. Chicken is fine though.
Raisins and grapes are also harmful, they can shut down a dog's liver or kidneys if they are eaten in large amounts or small amounts over time.
Cooked rice is fine for pigeons because it will not continue to swell in the stomach.

Turkey is not raised as livestock, and the supply is limited to Christmas and Thanksgiving. That is the reason that there is no turkey dog food except for specialty or high priced gourmet canned dog food.
Pigeons will eat rice, they will eat anygrain that is edible. I have never ever seen a pigeon wearing a "nonrice eating " sign on his or her bobbing neck. LOL.

The skin & bones of a turkey are the only parts that a dog shouldn't have.
Lots of birds eat uncooked rice in the wild. Bobolinks, sometimes called ‘rice birds,' are a good example. While rice is okay for birds, many wedding parties now throw bird seed instead.

Dogs can eat turkey, but not the bones. Of course cooked, in order not to get salmonela or other diseases.

Uncooked sure, cooked with bones no as the bones can splinter, cooked without bones yes. In case you are serious about feeding your puppies a uncooked food regimen verify into yahoo companies Rawpyrs and they can inform you where a vet is for your area that helps uncooked feeding and may help you decide how exceptional to feed your man or woman dog.
