No, I don't agree.
Contrary to your believes there are 30 teams in MLB.

I agree with you in part. Without teams like the Yankees or Red Sox other teams would have no foils, no one to try to play David to the their Goliaths and both the Yankees and Red Sox have provided some extremely memorable moments, but.....
Remember the 80s who won the most World Series from 1980-1989.Los Angeles.. Who was in the most World Series' ? Kansas City 80 and 85 won in 85, Philadelphia 80 and 83 won in 80, Los Angeles 81 and 88 won both, St. Louis 82, 85, 87 won in 82. Oakland 88, 89, 90 won in 89. So if you look at it this way from 1980 to 1996 the Yankees and Red Sox were in a total of 2 World Series' and won NONE NADA ZILCH NOTHING. And how many World Series' have the Yankees won since 2000. NONE. So if you want to believe in your hearts that the Yankees are at the top of the evolutionary pile go ahead. But...
The Yankees and Red Sox cannot play each other for 162 games a year and I would find it hard to believe if you in fact are a true baseball fan, that you would turn down tickets to or watch anything but a Yankees Red Sox match up and if you would well then you are not a true baseball fan only a Red Sox or Yankees fan. Imagine MLB without the Indians or Reds or Royals or Phillies etc.

Personally I could care less for the TV ratings. I think there were alot better teams in the Majors than the Yankee's or Red Sox. Teams like the Twins, Tigers, Cardinals, Mets. I like the Yankee's but I also like seeing other teams do well, and I think it's great for baseball when these other teams do well.

There is 1 REAL team, the Boston Red Sox there are several teams that "matter". The Minnesota Twins, The Detroit Tigers, and several more that I could mention. The Yankees should be done away with under their current ownership. They should re-form a team after 4 years and be held to the strictest of rules. First and foremost Steinbrenner MUST go!!!!!

Ya....not really. Do u think the NFL revolves 'round 2 teams...NO no sport revolves around 2 teams. Besides the Yankees and Red Sox basically bought their whole team. They have the biggest overall salaries in baseball.

the Yankees are starting to be a has been team. Once people notice that, they will start to not like them and like a team like the White Sox because they've got everything it takes to be a World Series Champion. (As they showed 2 years ago). I'm a Cincinnati Reds fan, i can't stand the AL. Yankees and Red Sox to be on top of the list. I think the whole tv ratings thing is that the people that don't follow baseball hear about either team being in the playoffs or whatever and say "Hey they're my favorite team, I'm gonna watch". They're not true fans.

If your trying to brag for some unfortunate reason, then do it somewhere else. No one here want's to here that all of everyone in the world of baseball cares about only Yankees and Red Sox. There are also great rivalry's elsewhere.

NO. There are the Red Sox and then none of the other teams matter. The Yankees have no soul.

Thats one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. i am a diehard Yankees fan but saying that the Yanks and the redsox are the only real teams is stupid. Who was in the world series? neither of those two teams. Sorry but it seems like you don't get out of your cave very often.

The Yanks and Sox only get as much TV time as they do because ESPN is based out of New England. It's like a local market for them. When they are in the playoffs, its a big deal, otherwise it's just overhype.
