She had a nose job to try and impress all the Hollywood casting directors, but it had the complete opposite effect. She became unrecognisable, and her career suffered.
I suppose it just goes to show that you can have all types of surgery to 'improve' yourself but it doesn't always have the desired outcome!
She was fab in Dirty Dancing though - i love that film!

I presume she's alive and well as I haven't read anything to the contrary. I saw her in an episode of Friends (as someone already mentioned) and I found myself thinking: is it her or isn't it? Because her nose is so different. Who would have thought that getting rid of her big hooter would spoil her looks completely? But it has. It's made her a real plain Jane.

Jennifer is very much alive. However, her acting career took a "nose" dive after having plastic surgery on her nose. Fans did not recogonize her as the same Jennifer Gray, so, it did hurt her acting offers.

She's alive and well, and reportedly turned down an invitation to the West End opening of "Dirty Dancing" because she feels it has type-cast her whole career (and she didn't get on with Patrick Swayze).

She's alive. She got a nose job some years back, leaving her almost unrecognizable. She's still a very pretty lady, but because of her nose job she hasn't been able to land to many acting jobs. I guess Hollywood was a little put off by it.

alive and well, although she looks a bit different to how she looked in dirty dancing coz she's had a nose job ! she was in a couple of episodes of Friends - she played the new fiancee of Rachel Green's ex - fiance - Barry, the dentist.

alive and well, had a nose job about 2 or 3 yrs. ago and now looks totally different.
