Come on, lots of authorites claim its the truth based on their biblical knowledge. Just tell me which cartoon you watched that made you gay?

Spongebob? Smurfs? Batman? Superman? Teletubbies? Family Guy? Shrek.

This is urgent because I want to know what to allow my home schooled kids to watch. Its hard enough to be a parent these days.

Between wonder woman (vavoom), porky pig (ewww), and bugs bunny (muah), it has been pretty hard for a straight guy to choose. Sorry I did not get the David and Goliath one. I missed that cartoon, or was this a cheaky swipe at the religious right.

If I liked your answer, you got a vote out of me, even for some of those worried about the "kids I have locked up in my basement taken bible lessons".

Whoa, bud. Do you seriously think cartoons are seducing children to a gay lifestyle? Honestly- that's ridiculous. If your child is straight, you can put them in front of 'Queer As Folk' twenty four hours a day, and they might get the impression that homosexuality is right and natural, but they're never going to feel it's right for them, and they're not going to like they're same sex.

Watching an effeminate Teletubbie isn't going to do it- c'mon, that's just common sense. If homosexuality really is against your moral values (and I suggest you think hard on that and do some education), then your best bet is not to censor the television, but let kids watch things, watch with them, and then TALK about it. Don't shut off the Simpsons; watch it and then have a healthy discussion with your children about what happened, what was good, what was bad, the wrong and right, and all that jazz.

That's how to be a good parent- not trying to shield your children from the bad parts of the world- you'll never be able to do it- but to teach them to be able to handle it.

While the news stories may be from 'reputable sources,' they're reporting allegations that come from sources that are not credible (with one of them even demonstrating exactly how wrong Focus on the Family was regarding Spongebob.)

But you knew this already, and you're just trolling for hostility...

you aren't serious, are you? watching any TV show or cartoon is not going to influence who you are or who you will become.
God made me and loves me the way I am, thank you!
If you really think a cartoon is going to "turn" your kids gay, then maybe you should send them to public school!

No cartoon makes, can make, or will make anyone gay. People are born that way. In ancient Greece, there were still gay people, but NO CARTOONS!
