I know a man who says he will not pay bills on line. He says he will not do this because using the postal service helps to keep people employed. I do not make alot of money so my shopping choices have more to do with price. While I admire my friend's commitment to the working man I simply cannot afford to help them. I also feel that the evolution of business in this country will continue so the loss of smaller stores is inevitable. I am conflicted here. I feel compassion for my fellow man but I also see it from the business person's perspective. If putting my business near yours will put you out of business but make me money the choice is simple, you lose. I do not think it is the business's responsibility to ensure the existence of competitors. I think it is the common man's responsibility to remain relevant. If you see computers taking over your job as a file clerk you learn computers so you can take part in the transition. If you own a small store and see Walmart coming to town you move your business to a location without a Walmart or you get into a different business.

However if my money were better I would buy what I want and not what I could afford. I like the finer quality things so I would drive out of my way if it meant getting a good bottle of olive oil.

I shop at a bargain store for groceries. Aldi's. It has really good prices, especially on the basics. I used to clip coupons and save money that way, but I spend about the same without all the cutting. I have 3 kids of my own and my sisters 4 that I feed on a tiny budget, so generic food is better than cat food. Lol.

shop around. i'm getting my veg from a close-by greengrocers and get greater value-effective fruit and veg than on the food market. I additionally dont could cope with countless extra packaging. Oh and it measn you basically get in season produce and dont finally end up with stuff that has been frozen for 6 months or is so artificially produced it tastes like water! Meat on the completed is greater effective from a close-by butcher as you could specify what cut back you desire and function the butcher artwork on the beef (removing bones etc). That mentioned, the food market is nice for exceptionally lots each and every thing else and is usually a sturdy place to snatch some deals. in case you have a social judgment of right and incorrect, use the smaller shops...you're taken aback!

I prefer to shop at a Super Walmart that is about a half hour away... we have a local grocery store, but it's more expensive and doesn't have a good selection of items.
