Guiness is probably of a lower density than Bass.
Similarly, when oil and water are poured into the same container, the oil will float above the water due to the oil's lower density.
Such liquids are called immiscible as they do not mix.

If I remember rightly bass is a pale ale from a bottle, guinness is a stout and they just dont mix properly. Anyway guinness is the best of the two why not just drink that ? Especially the draught. It good for you with protien and iron you need for your blood. My partner used to drink guinness mixed with milk but be careful you need handy loo. lol.it makes you go. Bass will rot your tum but guinness is good if you fem try a bit of blackcurrant in it.

Basically it's the 'Specific Gravity' (SG) of each beer during the brewing process.
This is the measure of density of each liquid, as Guiness is less dense than Bass, it will float on top.....sounds like a great drink anyway, what's it called , a 'Guinbass' or 'Bassness' ?!
