bridge - A structure spanning and providing passage over a gap or barrier; a bridge of understanding; A transitional passage connecting two subjects or movements; An intramolecular connection that spans atoms or groups of atoms.

the term bridge deals with connection. since everything in the world is connected and even humans ourselves search for connection, philosophy is essentially the quest for the bridge that connects the question to the answer.
