It would probably hurt my feelings, but I understand where you are coming from. My dad smokes and I HATED always smelling like smoke. It didn't seem fair to me and it made me feel dirty. My hair, my clothes, my whole house and all my things always smelled like smoke. Thankfully, I finally moved out of my dad's house and I'm living where no one smokes. But, since you cannot help that you smell like smoke, don't take it too personally. Just change into some clean clothes, and wash your hair before going out with people. That's about all you can do.

yes b/c i mean it does kind of hurt when somebody tells you you smell bad and stuff. but at the same time i'd be glad that somebody told me i smelt like smoke so that i could make it better. maybe after your grandmother leaves (not in front of her) spray the house down with febreeze, take a shower, change clothes, maybe put on some perfume. there are ways to fix it but i can see why you'd be hurt.

I wouldn't be hurt. If I smell like smoke, I smell like smoke. I'd be glad to know that other people notice it so that I could do something about it.

Now that you know and can do something about it, buy moth balls, and put them in your closet to absorb the smell. Keep your room and closet door closed at all times, let your grandmother know the problem and work together to find a solution.

No I wouldn't be hurt. Instead, I'd be grateful that I had a friend who could be so honest with me. I know from growing up in a house with 2 smokers, that even if you don't smoke you can become "accustomed" to that smell and not realize that your carrying that bad odor with you. So thank your friend for bringing this to your attention.

She ought to have self belief you in case you had filed a police record and had him arrested for attack? Why did not you? As for telling her that he's a complete jerk....of route, she would not see him as a jerk, and that i'm particular there is not something incorrect inclusive of her experience of smell. because you do not have the validity of a police record to decrease back you up on what a jerk he's, for the sake of your friendship, see you later as he's not punching her, you likely favor to shop your critiques to your self. yet you ought to, besides, tell her that he hit you and also you want her to be very careful. She gained't have self belief you immediately away, yet a minimum of she ought to have a "heads up".

Ask your granny if she heard the latest report on second hand smoke. Then hit her with a frying pan.
