You're pretty much on as far as Texas and Florida... There's three states that are hotbeds of high school football... Texas, Florida and Ohio. An argument could be made for each of them as far as which one is the best. A fourth state is pretty darn close, which is California. In the three states I mentioned there is a community passion for football, the best male athletes tend to gravitate towards football, and they get the best coaching and training. I live in Youngstown, Ohio and the love for High school football is so huge here that folks would rather talk high school football on sports talk radio rather than college or pros.

tough question. Most people have thier own opinions based on where they are from. The top state for speed has to be Florida. South Florida specifically. More speed then anywhere in the nation. Texas also has a lot of good players, and California is up there. Penn is very good at developing some mamoth O-linemen. It all depends on where you're from, because everyone is biased. I'm from Kentucky, and our football sucks, so I can honestly say that if I had to make a top 3 it would be Florida, Texas, then California. Still, great players are all over the nation.

Uh, no. I live in Texas, even though we are MAJOR football freaks, my high school only got to regionals. Good football players come from all over the country, not just one specific state.

No. to say that about any state is both a opinion and ridiculous. But Texas does have many great football programs.
