Who here thinks that Mtv and/or Vh1 have too much hip hop crap...and that they need to bring back rock music? All thats on there anymore is this teenybopper stuff! like The Pussycat Dolls! rock is the way and the light. let go of this thing you call hippity hop! if you do not like the crap they play on mtv(do they even ever play music?), do not watch them. maybe if enough people stopped watching, they would get the hint and play good music(of all kinds) l..l_ _l..l (rock on!!!)

I agree with what you're saying about MTV and VH11 I've completely given up on "music television" the shows are actually better than the music they play and that's so pathetically sad...but I'm not on any side ...i love both hip hop and rock both have some great artists and songs i could never side between one or the other but id sure like to see them make it a bit more even because I'm so sick and tired of these horribly made bubble gum teeny bopper hip hop songs and whiny annoying rock artists music needs a change period.

I am a rock fan, I'm not much for the hip hop music. If all they're playing is that, that's REALLY stupid, since they're supposed to appeal to a large audience, not a small group. From what I've seen, MTV and VH1 aren't doing the greatest anyway. MTV has really lost its popularity, and VH1 was always mediocre anyway. From what I've seen, MTV is now mainly reality shows, whereas VH1 does nothing but obsess over the lives of celebrities. I rarely see music videos, anymore.
Yes, though, that is stupid to play only hip hop...they are supposed to have a variety of both, along with pop music.

Rock is dead. Not a real serious band since Nirvana. And this EMO stuff is worse than disco. I'm a Black guy who grew up on Hendrix, Santana, The Doors, & Cream.
While I'm not into hip hop so much, at least it has balls and an edge. Like rock used to. Today's rock is a joke. Name me one rock act that anyone's going to remember in 2 years!
Green Day kicks out the jams though!

Some of that hip-hop music is ok. Notice that SOME is the operative word though. Good ole Rock is the greatest! Hinder, Metallica, AC/DC plus sooooo many more! But alas I do love all forms of TODAYS music too. Operative word being TODAY. But old rock is great.

I agree totally that those stations are playin was too much hip-hop and way too many reality shows!! Remember HEADBANGERS BALL?? They need to play more bands like 30 seconds to Mars, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus,Slipknot,Mudvayne,Breaking Benjamin and not to forget the greats like the Hair Bands that have been around forever!! Not everyone has MTV2 and FUSE!!!

and I am in TOTAL agreement with you about MTV and VH1 not playing enough rock. I get sick when I turn on the TV or radio and have to be subjected to that talentless lot of noise pollution they call rap/ hip hop/ pop...

Is it really that big a deal? Watch another channel. And hip hop isn't crap, you're just close minded and you only listen to the stuff you hear other people say about it. Get a backbone and turn the channel.
